The Other Queen - Philippa Gregory

This historical novel about Mary Queen of Scots was written by Phillipa Gregory, the #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of The Other Boleyn Girl. I read and enjoyed The Other Boleyn Girl. This is not as good. I read a lot. I love reading. I almost always finish what I start, and I just couldnt get past page 17 in this book. I just didn't care. 

The Queen herself is portrayed as annoyingly arrogant, the couple that is housing Queen Mary alternates between naively disillusioned with the benefits of the situation and just being generally uninteresting. All around lackluster beginning, maybe it's just a slow start. Maybe this develops into a wonder of fascination on page 18, but I'll probably never find out. If you do, let me know. 

...but then again, I'd recommend that you don't.
