Rant by Chuck Palahniuk

Is it possible to romantisize rabies and intergenerational incest - even make it sexy? I read Rant more than a few books ago, and can not get it out of my head. I chose the book based on the author, Chuck Palahniuk, who also wrote Fight Club. It's difficult to describe this book because Chuck is so twisted and does not exactly narrate in a straight line. The story is a narrative of "friends" describing Rant as they remember him and how he impacted their lives. Snippets of stories, some which defy belief and memorably stand out. I told a small segment of one of these stories to my 3 boys in a tent one night and scared the crap out of them, made the 6 year old cry (just the first example of my wonderful philosophy toward parenting). They still ask me to tell the Easter egg story again just to make David cry.
